I haven't done anything in too long indeed, but I'll cut on the cliche introduction of dead artist already.

This is a piece of Arabic calligraphy done with pencils, and inked with a 0.2 rotring inker. My reeds aren't working anymore (0.2 for all that space; imagine the horror).

It's a saying of Prophet Muhammed, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, (aka Hadith sharif), and it says something along the lines of:
"One who doesn't do mercy isn't done mercy."

I hope you realize how hard it can be to translate "eloquent" Arabic into other langauges and still keep the full effect.

Two stock images from ~poison-stock112's gallery were used for the background. The burnt paper effect was done on Photoshop CS.

This is not meant to be a tattoo design, and you are not allowed to use it that way. Tattooing is not allowed.
